The “German Manufactory Initiative – Handmade in Germany” is growing – introducing seven new manufactories

Seven new members enrich the initiative with exclusive products by fascinating branches, from finest table and bed laundry and precious lights up to the greatest bronze-casting foundry in Europe.

As of today, 16 members belong to the German Manufactory Initiative and further interesting manufactories are currently running through the application process. The great interest from manufactories from different branches is a proof for the meaning and significance of the initiative. The seven new members extend its range of products in an impressive way.    

The organs by Waldkircher Orgelbau Jäger & Brommer are worldwide known and demanded – the Olympic organ in Chinese Qingdao derives from their Black Forest manufactory. The ACCENTE manufactory produces classic and modern furniture and equips the “MS Deutschland”, a great cruise liner, with its timeless design. The “Golden Bear” production for the International Film Festival Berlinale and the restoration of the “Quadriga” up on the Brandenburg Gate – the bronze-casting foundry Hermann Noack produces small and huge sculptures since 1897. The technical ambitious and innovative locks and locking-systems by SUDHAUS manufactory, founded in 1844, are planned and designed in an own development department in Iserlohn and installed in the largest passenger plane on earth, the Airbus 380. The Bielefeld manufactory Strunkmann & Meister is the first address since 1832 for exquisite table and bed linen, which can be found in manorial properties as the royal house of Saudi-Arabia or in the ambitious private customer’s house. Exclusive and customizable lights are created in the FITZ LEUCHTENMANUFAKTUR, which are designed according to the models of famous designers and can be found in exclusive addresses such as the “Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts”. Founded in 1840, Klar Seifen is the oldest family-run soap-manufactory in Germany and produces precious soap products and artistic soap sculptures. Since 120 years, finest leather goods are produced in the Wünsch & Co manufactory at Berlin.

About the German Manufactory Initiative:

The German Manufactory Initiative, founded in November 2010 in Berlin with the goal to combine the common interests of the members and to accentuate the positive input of manufactories for the image of Germany in the foreign countries. The members represent the variety of German manufactory character, from the small One-man company up to traditional companies in fourth family-run generation.
