IDEA

Since 2014, the “Days of German Manufactories” attract many visitors over two days in Berlin every time. In 2017 the exhibition had record visitor numbers with 7.000 visitors in two days.

Lovers of handmade products of high quality have the opportunity to immerse in the world of manufactories and discuss with the manufacturers on the grounds of Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (KPM) in Berlin. The manufacturers from Berlin and throughout Germany give the visitors the chance to partake in selected production stages and to be part of a world full of cultural assets produced for generations and often in family businesses with consciousness for tradition and love for details.

Manufacturers and makers in Berlin join forces united by common basic values: Creating timeless and sustainable products that counter the disposable culture. Consciousness for cultural heritage mixed with fresh entrepreneurial spirit forms the basis for innovative concepts and ideas – such as the “Days of Manufactories”.

Designed by the creative collective Siebeneck, the exhibition architecture has a special focus on sustainable aspects.
