Three Special Exhibitions for KPM’s 250th Anniversary
In the KPM anniversary year 2013, three exhibitions in Berlin show the impressive spectrum of KPM’s trend-setting porcelain art from two and a half centuries:
- Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin 1763–2013. Porcelain art from private collections
KPM QUARTIER: Exhibition from September 19, 2013 – January 5, 2014
The exhibition will give guests an impressive insight into how the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (KPM) has given birth to high-end, trendsetting artistic designs throughout the ages – from rococo to modern.
300 unique porcelain treasures from 18 private collections offer a never-seen-before journey through all the manufactory’s creative periods. Highlights include choice rococo crockery, ornate vases from the classical and belle-époque eras, imaginative creations of the ‘golden twenties’, and pioneering designs for functional creations.
- KPM – Creating, Using, Collecting. 250 Years of Porcelain Made by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin
Schloss Charlottenburg: Exhibition from September 19, 2013 – January 5, 2014
